Dear Students,

In a few months the Summer Term will start and therefore it is time to announce any "special wish" you might have concerning the practical courses offered in the SS 2012. - "Special Wishes" that means dates where no practical course can be visited due to serious reasons. These wishes do not include requests like "special lab partners" or "only early courses"! However, for students being football fans: wishes in respect to the European Championships (June 2012) can be announced, but please note that the already scheduled German matches will not affect any practical course!

Furthermore, please remember that all students being registered as a student of our university will be enrolled automatically for all the practical courses scheduled for her/his semester. However, please announce:
- If courses will not be joined because of acceptance of other courses done before or
- If courses must be visited not scheduled for your semester.

Special Appeal:
If you already know that you will not participate in a course due to personal reasons, please give a note in advance. This prevents too many free places and maybe single groups can be merged together so that courses scheduled directly at the end of the semester can be avoided (keyword: written exams)… - You can be sure that all your fellow students will appreciate this!

Please address your announcements to Claudia Kleinfeld, using the following subjects (make sure that only those - without any typing mistakes - are used as the computer organises the mails automatically…!). Deadline: January 27, 2012.

PS:
Courses may need a successful participation in a Safety Instruction. All Group Assignments will only be done preliminary. Places may get lost due to missing Safety Instructions!

As already announced, the Mathematics tutorials (for Dr. Rotter) starts on the 02.01.2012 in Room A054 from 08:30 to 11:30am.

In der vorlesungsfreien Zeit zwischen Winter- und Sommersemester bietet das Sprachenzentrum eine Reihe von Englischkursen an verschiedenen Standorten an. Geplant sind zur Zeit Repetitorien, allgemeinsprachliche Intensivkurse sowie ein Prüfungsvorbereitungskurs.
Am Standort Sankt Augustin finden die folgenden Kurse statt:

  • Brückenkurs Englisch A2 (Intensivkurs)
  • Brückenkurs Englisch B1 (Intensivkurs)
  • Introduction to Business English (Repetitorium)
  • Business English (Repetitorium)
  • TOEFL Preparation Course (Prüfungsvorbereitungskurs)

Am Standort Rheinbach findet der folgende Kurs statt:

  • Business English (Repetorium)

Repetitorien richten sich an Studierende, die Pflichtfächer noch nicht bestanden haben bzw. gerne früher absolvieren möchten; Intensivkurse richten sich an (angehende) Studierende, die ihre Sprachkenntnisse auffrischen möchten. In allen Ferienkursen findet der Unterricht täglich statt; die Dauer der Kurse reicht von einer Woche bis hin zu zweieinhalb Wochen.
