Our students can take time off their studies on request, as long as they can prove that they have a good reason. The usual period is one semester. During this time the students rights and responsibilities as a member of the University are suspended. As a rule, time off should be requested within the re-registration period. It definitely cannot be granted for the first semester of your degree. The student may not take examinations during a period of leave.
