Autumn 2012: Our University was ranked among the Top 10 in the first Management Cup carried out by the German “Wirtschaftswoche” magazine, a nation-wide business simulation game. Students from the Department of Business Administration helped our University to come 10th in the competition, thus attaining a higher rank than any other university in the German Land of North Rhine-Westphalia. Autumn 2011: Students have given very good ratings to our University in two surveys: in the Study Quality Monitor (SQM) of the University Information System (Hochschulinformations-system - HIS) and in the StudiVZ online portal. Among other things, the two surveys dealt with study quality, conditions and practical relevance of study, but also with the students’ personal study situation. View more>>
Summer 2011: The research project “Health Tourism” from the Department of Business Administration on the Sankt Augustin campus has won an award in the contest “365 locations in the land of ideas” (“365 Orte im Land der Ideen”), organised by the location initiative “Germany - land of ideas” in collaboration with Deutsche Bank. Autumn 2009: In 2009 the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences was honoured by the Bonn Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) for excellent training performance. Wojciech Leszynski, biology lab assistant and best apprentice of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, won this award.

Spring 2009: Every year the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) conducts a university ranking that is published in the study guide of the German ZEIT magazine. This study guide is mainly intended to serve as an orientation aid for people holding a higher education entrance qualification (Abiturienten) as well as first-semester students. Of the range of subjects taught at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, only Computer Science was reassessed in the latest ranking - achieving outstanding results. View more >>

Winter 2008: In the extensive university survey carried out by the computer platform StudiVZ all across Europe, users ranked the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences fifth (grade 1.9) among their German-language universities, universities of applied sciences and universities of co-operative education. Major criteria include the practical relevance of the study programmes as well as the library and accommodation facilities.

Winter 2008: In the survey "Framework Conditions and Characteristics of Academic Support for Company Foundation at 100 German Universities of Applied Sciences", conducted by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, our University, which attained 70 out of 100 points, was ranked first in North Rhine-Westphalia and fifth in Germany. The Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences achieved outstanding results in the categories "Training for Company Founders and Entrepreneurship Support" as well as "Company Foundation Activities".
